Functional Pottery
To work with clay is in our genes. It’s ancient. It’s primal. It’s the very matter of the earth, the beginning and the end, the foundation of life as we know it. It’s growth and nourishment, territory and identify, safety and stability.
I strive to honour my practice by celebrating the materials, highlighting different textures and clay bodies, and keeping the design minimal. A lot of my work is simple, functional tablewear. This relationship between clay and food is another fascinating aspect.
For me, creating vessels that hold nourishment is a powerful practice rooted in human history and evolution. It’s an honor to keep this tradition alive, to work with the earth, and to slowly intentionally create pieces that carry meaning, intention, and history.

For all in stock items, you will be contacted to arrange for pick up (or local delivery for a small fee). For all custom orders, we invite you to follow along our social channels to watch the progress. When your item is ready, you will be contacted to arrange for pick up. Custom orders, with dry time and firing work, are anticipated to take approximately 5-6 weeks.
